22-26 Oct 2012 – Madrid U3A Tour

Monday - This five day coach tour was organised by the U3A, and so popular that they had to use two coaches.   We arrived in Madrid after a six hour drive, and had four hours to explore the city.

Tuesday -  We had lovely weather for our day trip to Sergovia, where we explored the city with Mike and Jackie from the Monday Group.

Wednesday -  Not such good weather for our day in Salamanca, but fortunately the rain stopped as we arrived there.   It remained overcast but dry during our visit.

Thursday -  Even heavier rain for our drive to Toledo, but again it stopped as we arrived.   It was sunny during our visit, but much cooler than we have been used to lately.

Friday -  Our last day was again spent in Madrid.  We had enough of buildings and people and spent the morning exploring the Retiro Park.

Saturday - Really enjoyed the short holiday, but glad to be back for our weekly food shop in Calpe!
