1 October 2012 – Javea to Portixol

Only eight of us for the first walk after the summer break.   Wendy, Sylvia and Ken sent sick notes.   David and Rosemary are still in the UK, but due next week.  Despite the absentees it was great to get together again and exchange summer stories.

The walk from Javea to Portixol has become the traditional first walk after the summer break.   Lovely sunny morning and warm rather than hot.  

 As with most of our walks, this one is always well worth repeating.    The views of Javea, Montgo, the coast and the mountains is something we never get tired of admiring

A new addition to the standard walk was a visit to the deserted beach at Sardine Bay

This was an excellent location for our banana stop

And to catch up on the news

Then a short walk to Portixol beach for our picnic lunch

8 October 2012 – Granadella

Another coastal walk.   Meet as usual at the hipica at 10am.   Hopefully David and Rosemary will be with us for this old favourite.
